So, listen up. Ball Park is partnering up with the Dew Tour to crown the new young stars of skateboarding and BMX as Ball Park Alpha Dawgs.
To even be considered, the athlete must rip, first and foremost, be under 21-years of age, and be in his first year on the Dew Tour. Throughout the season, we here at the Dew Tour are going to have our eyes peeled, monitoring and highlighting these up-and-coming athletes. At the end of the year, the fans - a.ka. you guys! - get to vote online right here for which three athletes are most deserving of the Ball Park Alpha Dawg Award.
And not only that! You have a chance to make it to the pros yourself. Throughout the season we are rewarding five different scholarships to Camp Woodward! So register now! Registration ends November 20th. Subject to Official Rules
Breckenridge
At the first stop of the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge, the teenage ski competitors were throwing down with a vengeance. Leading the charge in the Men's Freeski Slopestyle discipline was 17-year-old Bobby Brown, who shocked the crowd with an astounding Final run (Seriously, check out his entire run in the second episode below a€” Bobby hucks a switch misty 10 and one of his best kangaroo flips to date) . Snowboarder Elizabeth Beerman began building momentum with an admirable 12th place Superpipe finish. For the Mena€™s Snowboard contingent, 18-year-old Dylan Bidez came up on a very impressive 7th place finish in the Superpipe.
Mount Snow
At Mount Snow, the young snowboarders and skiers came out again in full force, nowhere more so than in the Freeski Superpipe. There, 18-year-old Tucker Perkins (4th), 16-year-old Duncan Adams (6th), and 16-year-old Byron Wells (8th) threw down runs with veteransa€™ authority. Following up on his Breckenridge victory, Bobby Brown placed third in Freeski Slopestyle.
Snowboarders at Mount Snow who continued to garner attention include Dylan Bidez, who stomped a respectable 9th place finish in the Superpipe. Elizabeth Beerman furthered her placement in Womena€™s Superpipe to 7th.
Toyota Championship
At the Toyota Championship at Northstar-at-Tahoe, young names filled the Freeski Slopestyle contest. Bobby Brown finished third in overall standings, while Nick Martini's 8th place finish in the finals helped him to land in 10th in the overall standings.
The Snowboarders also had a great end: Ross Baker made it into the finals, placing 6th despite difficult weather. Elizabeth Beerman also landed in finals, securing her 6th-place spot in the overall standings, by stomping an awesome prelim run, capping a season where she kept getting better and better.
