Norway might have its fair share of professional snowboarders, but very few have matched Andreas Wiig's accomplishments. As a back-to-back X Games Slopestyle Gold Medalist in 2007 and 2008, he established himself as one of the elite riders in modern competitive snowboarding. Combined with an impressive array of video parts with legendary film crews like Mack Dawg Productions and widely published photos in snowboard magazines around the world, Andreas' well-rounded style is hard to beat. Hailing from the small town of Asker, just outside of Oslo, Andreas developed his skills at the local mountain Vardåsen, only a five-minute walk from home. Growing up with a mountain literally in his backyard, it's easy to see why he rides with such technical precision. Splitting his time between California and Norway while competing and filming across the globe, Andreas racks up frequent flier miles like nobody's business. Although last winter was a season beset by injury, Andreas still managed another 3rd place win at the 2009 Billabong Air and Style event in Innsbruck, Austria and inked a major deal with Forum Snowboards. For 2010/2011 Andreas' award-winning pro model boot continues its progression and the Viking ruler looks to return to his winning ways
