Andrew Adkison
Andrew Adkison grew up in the Florida Panhandle, eager to learn how to wakeboard after seeing friends and neighbors riding throughout his hometown of Panama City, FL. Determined to wakeboard and not owning boat himself, Andrew would ride with friends, progressing every time he hit the water. After learning a few tricks on his own, Andrew enrolled in a wakeboard clinic, where he met pro rider, Shaun Murray. Seeing the potential in Andrew, Murray convinced him to start competing in contests.
Since turning pro in 2002 and snagging the Rookie of the Year award, Andrew has gone on to win some of wakeboarding’s top contests, including two world championships. In 2009, Andrew won the U.S. Masters and finished fifth overall in the King of Wake series.
