Cameron White

Determined to push the sport to the next level, Cameron White has had success in his pro career. He came to the U.S. in 2004 to start competing and his accomplishments that year include sixth place in all of the Core Tour competitions, fourth place overall at the King of Dirt Pro Series Championship and a silver medal at the Australian Planet X Dirty Deeds competition.

More recently, White’s skills on a bike have put him atop the podium at Mexico’s Red Bull Elevation and Australia’s Monster BMX Games in 2008. He also earned second place at the Extreme Thing dirt contest.

A consistent competitor in his four years on the Dew Tour, White has never ended a season ranked lower than sixth. He claimed the first win of his career at the third stop of the 2006 circuit. After finishing the 2007 season in second place overall, White utilized a win at the second stop of the 2008 Dew Tour and a trio of third-place finishes to claim his first Dew Cup. Never one to shy away from stepping up his game and puling from his arsenal of tricks, White busted out the first-ever barspin-to-backflip tailwhip en route to his Dew Cup title.

During the summers, when not competing in the U.S., White uses his competition earnings to construct his own BMX dirt course on his parent’s property in his native Australia. He uses the course to host his own BMX dirt competition – the Hillside Dirt Jam – with all proceeds going to charity. In 2007, White raised funds for Camp Quality, a children’s cancer charity, and in 2008 proceeds went to friend and fellow BMX dirt rider Stephen Murray, who was injured while riding.
