Since making the move to America in 2002, Chad Reed has amassed one of the most impressive careers in motocross history. Reed has achieved a majority of his success as a Supercross competitor, including a 2002 Lites Championship and Supercross Championship finishes of second, first, second, third, second, first and second from 2003-2009.

Reed made a triumphant return to the outdoor season in 2009 and ended up with his first AMA Motocross Championship under the guidance of legendary team manager Roger DeCoster, a title that had eluded him throughout his eight-year career.

Back under the Monster Energy Kawasaki tent for 2010, Reed was sidelined for most of the supercross season with a broken hand. He started off the motocross season with a win at Hangtown, but was later diagnosed with a virus midway through the season and forced to pull out of the remaining rounds.

After parting ways with Kawasaki, Reed decided to create his own team, TwoTwo Motorsports. Riding aboard a Honda, Reed was immediately competitive with his new team. After finishing 2nd in 450 SX points (4 points shy off a title), he started off the motocross season on a tear. The Aussie won 3 of the first 4 races (plus 4 of the first 6,) but wasn't quite the same rider after a crash at Spring Creek. Reed launched over a jump and off the track, ejecting himself from the bike before freefalling onto the backside of the hill. Reed somehow managed to bounce back up unharmed, and video of the crash went viral. Over the series' remaining five races though, Reed would only manage to finish inside the top three in one moto.

Chad Reed was part of a stacked a field of 450SX riders known as the "Big Four" in 2012. Midway through the supercross season though, Reed suffered a brutal crash that resulted in multiple injuries, including a torn ACL. Reed was forced to sit out the rest of the supercross season plus the entire outdoor season to rehab his injuries.

Aside from racing, Reed is an avid Supercross promoter in his home country of Australia.  Reed was an accomplished Supercross rider down under, winning two national championships before his move to the U.S.A. Reed and his wife Ellie welcomed their first child into the world before the 2010 season. The couple lives in Florida where Reed trains in the off-season and regularly hosts fellow riders to get some work in around his compound in the Sunshine State.
