Cole Seely actually began his career as a BMX racer, riding without training wheels at the age of 3. He later competed in a few BMX nationals, but Seely liked motorcycles best and soon focused on them. Never an amateur standout, Seely even quit racing for a few months at 16, but decided to come back and focus on having more fun. Since then, he's been climbing upwards, scoring a ride with Lucas Oil/Troy Lee Designs/Honda and capturing his first career AMA Supercross Lites victory.

In 2011, Cole finished 4th overall in the 250SX Western Region and 14th in the 250MX championship.

Cole had another successful supercross campaign in the works in 2012, riding in the West region. Sitting in 3rd place heading into the region's break, he was given the opportunity to ride a 450 for Team Muscle Milk Honda as an injury replacement for Trey Canard. When West Coast racing resumed, Cole got back aboard a 250, but suffered a brutal crash at Salt Lake City that resulted in kidney and liver damage. He would be forced to sit out the rest of the 2012 season, missing the outdoor nationals as well.

Seely was born on March, 10, 1990.
