
After moving to Lake Tahoe from Hawaii, Elena showed serious promise on a snowboard at just seven years old. It wasn't long before Elena's riding was gaining the attention of the snowboard world. Three resorts, five qualifying events and 10 Grand Prix finals later, the US Olympic halfpipe team has finally been selected. It was a long road, but at this point – when all roads lead to Vancouver – the trip was definitely worth it for the eight left standing. more

Landing her first frontside 900 at just 13, Elena took 3rd at the Breckenridge Grand Prix in 2003. Continually laying down awesome tricks with consistent style, Elena was named Rookie of the Year by Transworld Snowboarding in 2006 before going on to placing 1st at the 2010 Snowbasin Dew Tour.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Elena will return to the 2011/12 Winter Dew Tour in hopes of capturing her first Dew Cup.
