At a young age Garrett Reynolds was already a seasoned and solid BMX park competitor. Riding at the Incline Club at home in New Jersey, Reynolds started competing when he was only 12 years old, winning the Taz Tour and going pro the following year.
As a 16 year old, Reynolds surprised everyone when he finished the year in seventh place in the 2005 Dew Cup standings. A threat on the park course, it’s his accomplishments in street competitions that separate him from the pack. In 2007, Reynolds took gold at X Games Brazil, X Games Mexico and X Games Dubai, finishing fourth in the X Games 13 street contest. He also took home gold at X Games 14, silver at X Games Mexico and was honored with the NORA (Number One Rider Award) Cup as Street Rider of the Year, closing out the Dew Tour circuit in fifth overall in ‘08.
Reynolds repeated as X Games street champion and NORA Street Rider of the Year in 2009, adding Simpel Sessions champion to the list as well. Rounding out the year, Reynolds took home the Dew Cup with a series of first- and second-place finishes.
Reynolds' riding style is technical, smooth and fearless. He makes even the most tech tricks look like child’s play because he can pull them off with seemingly effortless ease.
