One thing about Milwaukee that’s not quite as awesome as its claims to fame is the roughly six-month winter it serves up each year. Young Lutzka made the most of it when he took up ice hockey at age 3, but after some little puckers got him into skateboarding, his interest in becoming the next Wayne Gretzky faded.
Greg is best explained as a prodigy. Everything to do with skateboarding comes easy for him, whether it be doing tricks or getting sponsors. In 2000, and still only 15 he placed third at the illustrious Tampa Am. Three years later he got his first win as a pro at the World Championships in Dortmund, Germany, also famous for beer. Go figure.
With his ability to take the frontside 360 over, onto, or around anything at anytime, Greg usually lands it right in the top 10. In 2007 he did that and more when he finished second to Ryan Sheckler in the overall race for the Dew Cup.
It seems the party never stops for The Polish Muska these days. Although palling around with celebrities, randomly popping up in movies and rap videos, and living the dream in Southern California, Greg still reps Milwaukee wherever he goes and has the 414 area code to prove it.
