With an “Australian Invasion” already in full swing in the BMX world, Jaie Toohey is simply the next wave of rising BMX stars coming from the Land Down Under.
A quiet guy, Toohey prefers to let his riding do the talking, and it speaks volumes for him. He got his start in BMX racing and quickly moved to freestyle, focusing on both park and dirt.
With a solid bag of tricks on lockdown, Toohey spent a summer in America to hone his skills and polish his style at Camp Woodward. The following summer he returned to the U.S., this time setting up shop with Ryan Guettler in Greenville, N.C. and earning his way onto the 2008 Dew Tour.
After taking six months off to have reconstructive knee surgery, Toohey returned to top form in time for the 2010 competition season.
