Go Big or Go Home! This is skateboard vert competitor Jake Brown's mantra. This Australian goes bigger and harder than any other contender in the skateboarding world. The man is fearless. Few skaters even attempt, nonetheless land, the complicated tricks that Jake throws down. Though known for taking huge risks, he is renowned for his consistency and style. Jake's unparalleled performance on the Vert ramp has earned him the respect and admiration of thousands. He was selected the 2005 Vert Skater of the Year by Transworld Skateboarding.
Jake has one of the nicest, funniest, most quirky personalities on skatelite. Brown is definitely down-to-earth, chatting it up with fans and fellow skaters in practice. But when competition time rolls around, he is all business. Jake soars so high above the vert ramp he needs all the concentration he can muster. His focus and intensity has earned him the top spots at some of skateboarding's most exclusive and competitive contests, including 1st place at the 2005 Globe World Cup for Vert Best Trick and 2nd place at the 2005 LG Action Sports Championships in Paris for Skateboard Vert.
While Jake has finished strong in many contests, nothing is set in stone when it comes to the Dew Action Sports Tour. We'll see what happens in the months ahead of tough competition on the Dew Action Sports Tour.
