Two Years Later, Kevin Pearce Is Back
For two years we've all been riding for Kevin Pearce, and today in Breckenridge, Colorado we actually got to ride with him. After a severe traumatic brain injury, extensive rehab, and eye surgery to get him over the last hump, Kevin Pearce rode again and a slew of friends and supporters were there for every turn along the way. For this installment, snowboarders Kevin Pearce and Mason Aguirre were stoked to be back together in KP's home state of Vermont after a rough season last year. The guys joked around as usual, and talked about everything from Pearce getting back on a board to how useless Aguirre is when it comes to surfing. more

He’s been through so much since crashing while training for the Olympics, but he sat down with Alli to reflect on his progress over the last year. Kevin has competed in major invitational superpipe, slopestyle, big air and quarterpipe events. During the 2007-2008 Season Kevin either won or placed on the podium at every contest he entered including the X-Games, Arcti Challenge, and Toyota Big Air. Kevin experienced a traumatic brain injury two years ago and has made remarkable progress to be able to ride on his snowboard once again, but he's not cleared to compete.

UPDATE: Kevin Pearce Discharged From Hospital
Update - 4/26/10 - Counting down the days till I get to go back to VT. Just want to thank everyone who has helped me throughout the beginning stages of my recovery. Still got a ways to go but am doing much better. You guys have been amazing with all your love and support. Thanks again! - Kevin
