Each of the five skaters that advanced to the Final Jam of the Dew Tour Championships' skate vert finals landed a 720 to get there, setting the stage for a fierce final round of competition. Saturday held a full day of skate contests at Asian X Games in Shanghai, China as both the street and mini mega finals took place after Friday’s rain postponed the events. Tyler Hendley landed a pretty stellar run to claim his first X Games gold in street. more

Brazilian Marcelo Bastos has been coming up fast through the ranks of professional vert skating.
After taking first place at the 2008 Camboriu Extreme Jam in his native Brazil, Bastos brought his skills to the Tampa Pro, placing seventh.
2009 saw Bastos gain even more momentum on the competition circuit. Returning to the Tampa Pro for another year of competing against some of the best skaters in the world, Bastos placed third in Vert Finals.
Bastos has continued on a steady diet of competing against the best. The 2010 Dew Tour Toyota Championships saw Bastos place 6th.
