Obviously not Mikkel Bang, who walked away with first in the 2008 New Zealand Burton Open Slopestyle, was the winner of the 2008 Nissan X-trail Nippon Open ParkStyle, and took second in the 2007 Nokia Air & Style. Born in Oslo, Norway, Mikkel is gaining both European and North American recognition. However, like any young guy, when Mikkel isn’t on the mountain; he gets stoked on good friends, sports, family, parties and girls. And while Mikkel is often seen as one of Burton’s young, up-and-coming snowboarders, he never takes the sport too seriously. As he has been caught saying on many occasions, “Snowboarding is all about having fun”. Any of his backcountry footage is a real treat, too.
