Hailing from New York, Phil Nicoletti has been a gritty privateer throughout much of his career, and that spirit shines through in his riding. Despite bouncing around between teams and struggling with consistency at times, Nicoletti has flashed top-ten talent over and over again since his debut in 2008.

Nicoletti's made some strides in 2010, taking three top-10 finishes in Supercross and finishing 8th in 250SX West Region points.

In 2011, Nicoletti received an opportunity to race the supercross series in Australia for Monster Energy Kawasaki. He was successful overseas, placing 3rd overall in the series, but visa issues forced him to return to the States for 2012.

Back in the U.S., Nicoletti was picked up by Eleven10 Mods. In his first Supercross race in 2 years, Nicoletti placed 5th at the 250SX East Region opener in Dallas. He scored another top-five in Houston, plus a top-ten in New Orleans. Throughout the season though, he was plagued by crashes, bike problems and general bad luck, resulting in several DNF's. Unfortunately for Nicoletti, that bad luck would follow him into the outdoor season.

Starting the year on a 250, Nicoletti turned in some great rides at the start of races early in the year, only to falter late or suffer bike problems. His best finish on the lites bike was a 10th at Budds Creek. WIth the disappointing finishes mounting, Nicoletti wanted to try moving up to the 450 Class, thinking that the bigger bike was better suited to someone of his size. Eleven 10 Mods and Nicoletti mutually parted ways after Spring Creek, with Nicoletti opting to go it as a full privateer. His leap of faith was rewarded with back-to-back 8th overall finishes at Unadilla and Steel City, scoring a career-best 6th place finish in the 2nd moto at Steel City.

For 2013, Nicoletti will stay on the big bike as he joins up with the N-Fab/TiLUBE/Yamaha team.
