Sponsored by Orage since the age of 11, Philip Casabon is one of a crew of French Canadians that have taken the freeski world by storm. Like fellow Quebec skiers Charles Gagnier and JF Houle, Casabon is a sick rail skier -- a skill he acquired from filming in Quebec's urban park scene.
Known for his precision and style, Casabon has called Vallee du Parc his home resort since he started skiing in 1993.
With top-three finishes at the European Open and US Open in 2008, Casabon was invited to his first Winter X Games the following year, where he achieved his goal and landed in the top five at the competition. After the competition season wrapped up in 2009, Casabon moved on to filming, taking part in Level 1’s “Refresh.” A well-rounded individual – not to mention a talented one – Casabon then added design to the mix when he started working on a B-Dog Pro Model Phil Casabon Jacket.
In 2010 Casabon improved on his X Games debut with fourth place and he closed out each of the first two seasons of the Winter Dew Tour in the top-10 overall. Outside of skiing, he is influenced by snowboarding and Redman, the rapper.
