After taking 10th place in her first World Snowboarding Championships in ’07, Castellet went on to claim a handful of podium finishes on the FIS World Cup circuit and closed out the 2008 season in third place overall in halfpipe rankings.
The 2009-10 offered the Spanish snowboarder a chance to make her mark on US soil when she claimed fourth place at the Copper Mountain stop of the Grand Prix series. The halfpipe specialist went on to claim top podium honors at the first stop of the Winter Dew Tour, and third at the second, before finishing seventh in her first Winter X Games appearance.
Gaining momentum in high-profile competitions, Castellet made the finals at the Vancouver Olympics, trailing behind heavyweights Torah Bright and Kelly Clark in qualifying. But an unfortunate fall during a practice run derailed her bid for a medal.
