In 2007, Dietrich bounced back from a broken arm to earn three podiums and five top-five finishes in the WORCS (World Off-Road Championship Series). He also challenged the AMA EnduroCross series, earning two top-10 finishes.
2008 saw Dietrich earn his first AMA EnduroCross championship by winning one event and being the only competitor to make every main event in the six-race series. He helped lead the Trophy team to a bronze medal at the International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE) in Serres, Greece. He finished the ISDE second overall and top American. Ricky was awarderd with the 2008 AMA Racing Athlete of the Year.
Dietrich Finished the 2009 season runner-up in the WORCS series with five wins and eighth overall in the EnduroCross series with one win in Las Vegas, after being temporarily sidelined with a foot injury. He then competed in five AMA Motocross races as a fill-in for an injured rider, earning an impressive fifth overall, two sixth overalls, a seventh overall, and 11th overall.
In 2010 Dietrich suffered a gruesome foot injury while running practice laps at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Recovering in just a few months, Ricky was back out on the track and won three out of the first six rounds through the midway point of the season.
Coming back strong in 2011, Ricky took fifth place at the Freestone National stop of the AMA Motocross Championship.
