A native of Long Beach, California, Terry Kennedy came from humble beginnings and picked up skateboarding at the age of 14 after noticing that close friend, pro skater Evan Hernandez, was making a living doing it at the time. Terry realized that this was a legitimate way to make it in life, rather than to sink into the drugs and violence around him. So he began a career that has achieved both unheralded competitive and media notoriety, Terry was selected to be the team captain for renowned music executive Pharrell William's Ice Cream Skating Crew. Terry has appeared in rap superstar Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot music video as well the ABC Family's show Switched. Terry also maintains a friendship with fellow pro skater and television star Bam Margera and has appeared in multiple episodes of his show Viva La Bam. Fast forward to 2011 and Terry is now the star his own TV show on BET "Being Terry Kennedy".
