Tyler Hendley does not care what you or anyone else thinks about him. This is both good and bad for the exact same reason. It’s good because it shows how confident he is, which allows him to do things his way and helps keep skateboarding interesting, but it’s bad because this confidence can easily be (and sometimes is) mistaken for cockiness. It shouldn’t be. T-Hen was born in Mission Viejo, California, where ... Full bio >

T-Hen was born in Mission Viejo, California, where he says his baby handprints are still on the wall at the hospital. And since Mission V is still his favorite place in the world, which incidentally he’s been all over, he doesn’t ever plan on leaving.
If there’s one thing, besides his wearing shorts, that really sets Tyler off from his peers, it’s his daily routine of riding all of the various boards that require a sideways stance. He surfs, he snowboards, he skates, and he’s good on all of them. But apparently he’s also pretty ripping on a motorbike, because he claims that when it’s time to walk away from skateboarding he’s going to become a professional street bike racer, just like his pops used to be (R.I.P.).
Tyler got an early start due to his dad putting him on a surfboard and on a skateboard by the age of four. Take one look at his flow and it’s apparent. He has a backside bigflip that’ll have your head spinning along with his board. And he’s made it count on the contest circuit, with podium finishes at three consecutive international X Games events in 2007 (including a win in Dubai), and an MVP nod from the Goofy Footers at GvR in ’08… not like he cares though.
