Riding professionally since he was 18 years old, Australian Vince Byron says he wishes he had realized how much he liked BMX earlier in life.
Competing on his second year of the Dew Tour, the Salt Lake City stop of the 2009 circuit was Byron’s first time competing in the finals. He finished first in the prelims, joining two other Aussies – Steven McCann and Tim Wood – in the finals, where he claimed a career-best sixth place with his 540 tailwhip and 540 barspin.
After closing out the season in eighth place in the year-end Dew Tour standings, Byron went on to claim fifth at BMX Worlds.
