Nigel Sylvester + Pharrell Reveal Brooklyn Machine Works at VMAs

We know there has been a lot of mainstream buzz around the VMAs as of late, but one thing that may not have resonated with the masses was the revealing of Nigel Sylvester and Pharrell's new BMX company, Brooklyn Machine Works. That's right, Sylvester has partnered with Pharrell on a new brand! Following Sylvester's leave from Mirraco over a year ago, many have wondered where he would end up - doubt anyone saw this coming. The brand will be housed under Animal Bikes, and the founder of Animal, Ralph Sinsi, gave a statement to that affect. Watch the video of Sylvester and Pharrell rolling up to the VMAs on the Red Carpet, then read what Sinsi had to say at the bottom of this post.

“Nigel Sylvester announced in his usual style last night about the bike company he is starting with Pharrell. It is going to be Brooklyn Machine Works complete BMX bikes. Watch the video above to see how he rolled in last night live on MTV at the VMA’s red carpet with the whole crew including Rone, Ralphy, Oba, Marlon, and Hoder just to name a few. Of course, Nigel will continue to be one of our main team riders and run all our products with his frames. The Brooklyn completes will also feature components from Animal. Look for those at bicycle shops in the near future. Everyoknows Nigel has big plans and this is just a preview of what to expect.” – Ralph Sinisi
