Nike BMX team rider Dennis Enarson broke his femur while riding at a San Diego skatepark, and to add insult to injury, the slam happened the day before his 21st birthday. Reports from friends and Twitter show that Dennis' positive attitude came through and he was still joking after the crash. Twitter was buzzing with support from friends and fellow riders. "Get well soon #myfriend happy birthday wish we all coulda done it it right tomorrow," tweeted Bill Macpherson.
ESPN's Brian Tunney reported that Dennis was qualified to compete in the Asian X Games that are scheduled to run April 28 to May 1, and this injury obviously will keep him out of competition for a bit. Our thoughts are with Dennis and we wish him a quick recovery.
