BMX in Store for This Weekend’s Gatorade Free Flow Tour

After a weekend of festivities and fireworks, we’re getting ready for some bangers of our own as the Gatorade Free Flow Tour continues its cross-country trek with a BMX park and BMX dirt competition this weekend in Milwaukee and Oregon.

The stop that gave us 2009 BMX vert champion Mykel Larrin is back for the second year in a row, as 4 Seasons hosts a BMX park competition in Milwaukee on Sunday, July 11.

Then, out in the Pacific Northwest, the Tour will head up into the hills, hitting up Mount Hood, OR for the second BMX dirt comp of the season. Known as a popular destination for skateboard and snowboard campers, the Windell’s campus is also home to a pretty cool BMX dirt course, where hungry ams will be competing for a berth into the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals.

Just a reminder to all your BMXers out there – there are only three BMX dirt competitions on the 2010 Gatorade Free Flow Tour. And with so few events on the season, the top three finishers from Windell’s will each earn a ticket to the Finals come September. The stakes are high at Windell’s but the rewards are even higher, so make sure to make the trek up to Mt. Hood on Sunday for the dirt competition.
