For the third year in a row, the Incline Club hosted a BMX park competition on the Gatorade Free Flow Tour. BMX pros Scotty Cranmer and Ronnie Surridge judged the contest, and they had a tough time deciding who should advance to the September Finals.
With past finalists competing, including Brandon Kitson and Mike Groff, it was Cory Berglar who came out of nowhere and took home a well-deserved first place. Flairs, backflips over the spine, a 360 double whip over the spine straight into a flair and a flair transfer from the six-foot quarter into the 10-foot quarter gave Berglar the ticket to SLC. Vinny Mannino claimed a close second, while Groff rounded out the podium.

Coming up this weekend is another BMX park competition, but this time, it’s on the other side of the country. Up in Petaluma, CA, Ramps Rats, the park that gave us 2005 Gatorade Free Flow Tour champion Kevin Kiraly, is back for another year of the Tour.
With more than 40 skate and BMX competitions going on this summer, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour decided to throw in a few more contests on the side just for good measure. We covered the Park Rev Program in our skate story for the week, but here on the BMX side, we’re letting you know about the Clip Challenge.
Judged by Gatorade athletes Nigel Sylvester and top Dew Tour pro Chaz Ortiz, the Clip Challenge gives you bragging rights and a year’s supply of Gatorade. The June contest is all wrapped up, and Nigel has given us word that Matt Ray is the winner! Watch his winning edit right here.
It’s been a crazy year already on the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, but we thought we’d take a minute to highlight some of the amazing ams that have proved themselves so far this year. And that’s why we created the Am Spotlight. For the first edition, we’re showcasing Compound local Larry Edgar, who won the first ever Gatorade Free Flow Tour BMX dirt competition.
