Winter Dew Tour
Dew Tour pro freeskier Sammy Carlson chose his home mountain of Mt. Hood to hold the Sammy C Invitational this Thursday, July 1, beginning at noon. The summer Big Air Contest draws the best freeskiers in the world, including Carlson himself along with fellow Dew Tour regulars TJ Schiller, Tom Wallisch and Justin Dorey.
Those guys will be going off beginning at noon on Thursday, July 1 during session three of Windell’s. There’s $15,000 up for grabs for first place, and a promise to make the biggest step-over ever built on Hood.
With those kind of standards, the contest will go off for sure at Timberline Lodge. Before this contest came onto the scene, it had been almost 10 years without a summer big air contest in the U.S. Event sponsors include Nike 6.0, Oakley, Salomon, Rockstar, Windells, Timberline, Skullcandy and Alli.
