Ryan Villopoto, Wil Hahn Earn Victories at St. Louis Supercross

Saturday night in St. Louis, Ryan Villopoto grabbed his 4th win of the year through 9 races and cut Davi Millsaps' 450SX points lead nearly in half.

In the 450 Main Event, Mike Alessi grabbed the holeshot, but a 3-man battle soon emerged with James Stewart, Justin Barcia and Villopoto fighting for the lead. Villopoto, who came from outside the top five after a red flag restart, eventually came away with the lead and went on to grab the victory.

Stewart held on for 2nd, but a mistake from Barcia late in the race cost him several positions. As a result, Chad Reed took over 3rd place and scored his 2nd podium finish of the season. Ryan Dungey and Barcia rounded out the top five.

Points leader Davi Millsaps finished in 6th, his worst result of the year, and sees his lead over Villopoto shrink by 10 points as the series heads to Daytona.

In the 250 Class, it was Wil Hahn pulling out the victory for the 2nd week in a row. After grabbing the holeshot, Hahn led the race wire-to-wire once again but faced a strong challenge from Dean Wilson over the final half of the race. Deano recovered from a bad start to work his way up to 2nd, turning fast laps in the process, but was unable to get around the GEICO Honda rider for the lead.

A fixture in the top three throughout the race, Blake Wharton held on for a podium spot, while Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin and rookie rider Jeremy Martin composed the remainder of the top five.

With the win, Hahn moves into the 250 East points lead, sitting just 1 point ahead of Wilson.
