How does 2010 Supercross Champion @RyanDungey follow up an outstanding rookie season? With #TYFO of course! Well that and also riding on the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Series. Check out our interview with the newest young motocross star.
After wowing motocross legend Roger DeCoster in 2006, Ryan Dungey became one of the few people to ever go from the amateur ranks to full, factory-support. With guidance from DeCoster and Ricky Carmichael (The G.O.A.T), Dungey has quickly risen up the professional ranks. In 2009 he won the supercross western regional title as well as the AMA Motocross 250 class crown. Both Racer X and Transworld named him the Motocross rider of the year. In 2010 Dungey made the move to the premiere class, captured the Supercross title, and hopes to have similar luck on the motocross circuit. He rides for the @Rockstar6969 Makita Suzuki team and his other sponsors include Fox Racing, Target, Oakley, and @nike6 (who teamed with him to create the Nike AirMX boot). Keep up with Ryan this season at twitter.com/RyanDungey.
We are kickstarting
#TYFO this week with the 2010 Supercross champ (& the 2009 250 Class MX & SX Champ)
@RyanDungey
Q: Hole Shot: On a scale of 1-10 how awesome is the movie Face-Off?
A: Unfortunately I haven't seen it but I'll go with 5!! lol
Q: Congrats on your Supercross title this year, which
@Target is bigger, your sponsor or the metaphorical one on your back?
A: I'd say the one by my house in Tally is way bigger than anything on my back.
Q from
@JasonWeigandt: Did you finally get to celebrate that SX Championship?
A: Yeah, finally!
@foxheadinc threw me a pretty good party at the Palms Saturday night in Vegas!
Q from
@Ridertech: Where is your favorite place to ride?
A: I'd say its a tie between
@RickyCarmichael farm and Millville since it's my home track.
You guys are awesome today. Tons of questions so far. I will ask as many as possible!
Q from
@AmericanMX: What has training with RC done for you both on and off the track
A: I consider him a good friend. He's accomplished a lot in the sport and I've learned quite a bit from him.
Q: The next
@AmericanMX race is at Freestone Raceway in Texas. What is the biggest thing you have ever seen in Texas?
A: The flags in Texas for sure! The one at the track has gotta be the biggest one I've ever seen!
A: We didn't start testing until after Vegas, which I think helped me win that race...
A: The team worked hard to get ready for Hangtown and I believe we're in good shape moving forward.
Q from
@AmericanMX: What was the hardest part about adjusting to the pro level in motocross
A: The hardest thing was getting used to the travel and longer seasons.
@laxbros I have your question in queue, but I only have time for so many. Even if ur question doesn't get answered, ur still eligible to win
Q from
@evico &
@jkim16: What got you started in supercross racing?
A: My dad raced when he was younger and got me and my brothers riding and racing when we were young.
Q from
@Racerxonline: Lots of riders went through all their tearoffs--how bad was the roost this weekend?
A: I went through my
@Oakley tearoffs early in the first moto. The roost was pretty tough this weekend.
Q from
@junebug1310: Do you change your riding style from indoor to outdoor or do you stay the same?
A: It changes quite a bit. #SX is more timing and precision while #MX is more about momentum and holding it wide open!!!
Q from
@cudenver: What do you do to prepare for the 30 minute motos, endurance wise.
A: Obviously I ride longer motos during the week but also add more strength and conditioning. My
@TrekBikes gets a lot use too!
We'll post the full interview later this week RT
@LukeNesler107 can we view the dungey interview at later time?
A: Besides cycling, I like to golf, listen to music, fish and BBQ with family and friends in MN.
Q from
@thejakernaut: who would win in a fight, you or Andy Samberg?
A: I think he could take me. I'm a lover not a fighter! LOL
Q from
@nathonverdugo: If Jordan wore your Nike 6.0 boots and you wore jordan's who would win in a game of 1 on 1?
A: A game of 1 on 1 motocross? Never heard of it but I think I could beat him!

@RyanDungey and THANKS to everyone who asked questions. That was unreal today. We've never had that many Qs. My face is Off
Winners will be announced later tonight after I sift through all the questions
