Ryan Dungey Wins in Front of Hometown Fans at Millville

The second half of the Lucas Oil Motocross season kicked off Saturday in Millville, Minnesota with the Spring Creek National. Ryan Dungey, already the man to beat in the 450 class, turned in another dominant performance, this time at his hometown track.

In Moto 1, Dungey had to work his way up to the front from 5th place, while Mike Alessi led the race's first five laps. Eventually Dungey reeled in the #800, and once he made the pass for the lead, Dungey pulled away and cruised to the victory. Moto 2 would be even easier for Dungey, as he got a good start and took over the lead quickly. The Red Bull KTM rider would wind up finishing about 49 seconds ahead of the next rider, Alessi, by the end of the race.

The sweep puts Dungey's streaks at 10 straight moto wins and 5 straight overall wins. He now holds an 80 point lead over Alessi in the 450 points standings.
