Transworld Ride BMX Best Trick Contest - PlayStation Pro 2009
The Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, today announced its complete schedule for the 2010 season, which includes its return to Chicago for the second stop of the five-city circuit. A Chicago landmark, the Museum Campus will be the site of the Nike 6.0 BMX Open, July 23-24, and will feature the world’s greatest talent in BMX park, vert and dirt.
PlayStation announced that BMX sensation, Ryan Nyquist, was the winner of the PlayStation® Player of the Year award. The award is honored to the athlete that best represents themselves in and out of action sports through progression and innovation of their sport, support of action sports and its growth and overall sportsmanship.
Fresh off being crowned the 2009 Dew Cup champion in BMX Dirt, Nyquist was selected for the PlayStation® Player of the Year by an industry panel for the following reasons:

Here’s the scene—a plywood runway down a double set of stairs projecting riders almost immediately into a 6ft clay lip and over a 15ft gap. The time frame—half an hour jam style format. The prize--$1,000 in cash split up throughout the event for innovative moves. And $5,000 for best trick overall.
TJ talks about his ride in prelims
By Matt Coplon - After getting inundated with a typical Florida thunderstorm, dirt dried up enough for qualifiers to begin at 8:45pm under the assistance of some giant floodlights. Humidity was thick, but that didn’t stop a large crowd from attending the festivities. Things got going quick, even quicker for a select few.
Coming out at the top of the prelim field were Anthony Napolitan in first, Colton Satterfield in second, and TJ Ellis in third. This had to be a hard decision to be thrown on the judges as each rider pulled two smooth, flawless runs at height.
