Fifteen Skaters Make it Through Park Prelims

Skate park prelims are in the books, and we’re one step closer to tomorrow’s finals here at Boston’s Skate Open.

The skate park prelims included nine 10-minute heats that took the better part of three hours to complete. The field of 43 skaters was whittled down to the top 15, who’ll be moving on to the semifinals. Among them is a pair of Dew Tour regulars (Jordan Hoffart and Robert Lopez Mont), two Boston locals (Anthony Shetler and Eli Reed) and a couple of athletes on the comeback trail (Bastien Salabanzi and Jereme Rogers) – all representing a total of nine countries. For those lucky few advancing to the semifinals, they’ll face off against Ryan Decenzo, Tyler Hendley and 10 other prequalified athletes for the chance to move on to the finals and compete against Chaz Ortiz and P-Rod.

There’s still plenty of action ahead of us at the Skate Open.
