But thanks to new laws, stricter enforcement, and structural skate deterrents, street skaters are banned from tons of the best spots. Well, now here's your chance. In the first three Dew Tour markets, we'll unlock a spot in your city that you thought you'd never get to skate. Until now!
Local Events
Mountain Dew ® and the Dew Tour bring you Unlock Your Spot, which includes local skate events and best trick contests on each "unlocked spot" in the first 3 Dew Tour markets, along with a national promotion, where fans have the chance to vote on their favorite unlocked spot. The winning spot at the end of the voting period will be recreated for the 2011 Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas, where Dew Tour pros will compete in a best trick competition on the fan favorite Unlocked Spot.

Congratulations to Salt Lake City for receiving the most votes throughout the season for their cities unlocked skate spot, the Northwest Corner of EnergySolutions Arena!
This winning spot will be recreated at the Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas for the professional Dew Tour athletes to compete on. This pro best trick contest will take place Saturday, October 15th from 5:30pm-6:30pm near the Festival Village at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The winner will walk away with a check for $8,000 on behalf of Mountain Dew and $2,000 worth of various cash prizes will be distributed throughout the contest to the athletes who showcase the best tricks throughout. Don't miss it!
