John Bell
Born in Canton, Ohio, John Bell’s childhood years were wrapped up in an obsession that would become his lifelong pursuit - art. Labeled “prodigy†at age 5, he was in private lessons rendering traditional figurative and still life charcoals and oils that bested older, more accomplished artists.
For over 20 years Bell has continued to develop his current artistic style. It wasn’t until 2003 however, that he decided that his work was ready for public exhibition, when he participated in a group show. Within two weeks his paintings had all sold, and since then, he has amassed an impressive body of work that employs multiple disciplines and artistic styles.
His work combines the gestural elements of abstract expressionism with the linear qualities of geometric abstraction, post modern philosophy, the physicality and presence of large scale modern sculpture, pop art and the ideas about space addressed in modern architecture.

“I believe in process, spontaneity, and action. My style and interests are varied, as are the mediums I use. The medium foresees the style. The interest suggests the medium. My work combines formal academic painting and drawing with a strong interest in graffiti, comics, graphics, and pattern.†– Trent Call
Mike Murdock
Mike Murdock is a primarily self taught artist who has been doing the same thing since he was 10 - skateboarding and drawing. First drawn toward art from skateboard graphics, cartoons, and graffiti, he creates art on a regular basis and currently resides in the heart of Salt Lake City. He seeks inspiration from everything around him; found objects, strangers writing cuss words in random places, skateboarding, graffiti, general scavenging, hobo culture, tattoo art, outer space, and endless other sources of complete randomness. Mike has a hard time taking anything seriously and has an even harder time writing in third person… but thanks for even taking the time to read this.
Peder Singleton
Salt Lake City-based designer Peder Singleton has always been intrigued with typography. As a student of design at the University of Utah he was able to explore this interest in letter forms, while expressing it visually through technology, both old and new. Pieces included in his latest work, Urban Typography Project, begin as photographs of dilapidated old signs, full of rust, chipped paint and broken neon bulbs, mostly found around Salt Lake City. Through modern digital techniques the photos are manipulated, then printed on a century-old printing press, giving the artwork a textured, tactile quality. Currently Peder works with as a graphic designer at Struck Creative in Salt Lake City.
