4 Seasons Wraps with Jacob Hinke Winning BMX Park

Today 4 Seasons Skatepark closed its doors to the skaters and became a BMX-only paradise, with local pros Jeff Kluegwicz and Little Jon on hand to judge the contests.

The day started off with the future of BMX at hand with the Junior Jam.  Logan Miehle, coming in third, really impressed the judges by getting creative and using the entire course.  In second place, Kolbee Givens threw down a barspin and a 360 tailtap.  Chase Pauza showed a lot of control with a lot of flow, and ended up on the top spot with a turn down and a no-foot one-hander.

With a great setup with half street and half transition obstacles in the park, the BMX riders in the Open Division had a lot to ride to impress the judges. Coming in sixth place was Chris Liszka with a turndown, while fifth place went to Thomas Faulk with a handplant over the spine and fourth went to Robert Routley with a 360 and a one-footed flatty.  After splitting his bike completely in half during practice, Corey Ellis came back with a borrowed bike and managed to squeeze on the podium in third place with a 360 whip and a 360 turndown. Second place went to Dylan McCanley with a 360 over the rail.  But in the end it was Jacob Hinke with a backflip, tailwhip, and a no-footed can-can that took home first place and a trip to the Finals.
