Miles Canevello Crowned Winner at 4 Seasons

In its third time hosting the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, 4 Seasons Skatepark knew the drill and did not disappoint.  Many local rippers showed up and just as many skaters travelled here for a chance at winning a spot in the finals.

With the sun beaming outside, things got under way inside with the Junior Jam.  The little ones had no problem turning on the heat inside as well.  A total of 17 skaters were split into three heats and then cut down to a six “little” man final.  Max Brown managed to take third place with a 50/50 on the flat ledge, an ollie down the 5 set and a f/s board slide down the A Frame.  Coming in second was Adam Hill with a nose stall revert bank to wall, a fakie bigspin into wedge and a pop shuv-it off the Gatorade Kicker.  After coming in a close second a couple of weeks back at Warp Skatepark, Matt Buhrt figured out how to squeeze into that No. 1spot, with a feeble down the 5 rail, backside 50/50 and a backside 5-0 down the hubba and a front side 180 down the 5 stair.

The Open Division started off with seven heats, which was cut down to a semi of 12 skaters and then cut down again to a final heat of six.  It became the battle of Wisconsin vs. Illinois, with three skaters representing each state.  Mitch Schmidt landed in sixth with a feeble to fakie to ledge and a f/s blunt slide on the top of the box.  Jordan Meadows found himself in fifth place with a lipslide body varial down the rail.  In fourth place was our youngest competitor in the Open Division – 13-year-old London Davis – with a double flip over almost everything in sight, a hardflip to flat over the A Frame and a f/s bigspin over the Gatorade Kicker.  Brad Monte found himself in third, and on the podium, with a switch 270 nose blunt on the top rail, and noseslide and a tailslide down the tall hubba.  The local favorite, Andre Colbert, came in a close second with a 270 frontboard down the A frame, a switch noseslide down the hubba and a back lip pole jam.  In the battle of the states, Illinois won it all with Miles Canevello taking first place.  He did it with a kickflip f/b down the red rail, nollie nosegrind on the A frame and a gap 5-0 across the wall ride.
