The BMX park contests completed the second day at Woodward Skatepark in Denver, CO. With BMXers coming from Arizona, Nevada, and Utah to compete for a chance to win a trip to the finals in SLC, it was a great day with some really impressive riding coming from all ages.
Cannon Hall rounded out the top five in the Junior Jam category with his no handers, disaster to fakie and smooth hip transfers. Coming in fourth place was Kaysen Winger with a 360 one hander, hop over the down rail and wall tap. Third place went to Boston Fausett with a stylish wallride, double peg stall and a 270 hip transfer. In second place was River Biosi and his wallride look back, turndowns and a big 360 over the fly box. First place went to Shawn Yakovich, coming all the way from Rock Springs, WY, who put down some serious tricks in the finals including a tailwhip, 360 ET and a stylish 360 over the fly box.

Junior Jam Podium
The open guys were really going for it in the Rockies today with four out of five top finishers hailing from Aurora, CO. Coming in fifth place was Jesus Pulgavir who was hucking himself throughout the park, and likely would have made a better placing had he landed some of the crazy maneuvers he was trying. Fourth-place finisher Matt Gutierrez, coming all the way from Albuquerque, NM, put down a stylie nack nack, 360 to fakie and quarter to bank transfer in his finals run. Rounding out the top three was Eric Saenz with his tail whips, supermans and no handers over the fly box. In a close second-place finish was Tremaine Stewart who landed a downside whip, alley-oop whip and barspin over the rail in his finals run.
First-place finisher Trey Herrera was throwing down all day with the biggest amplitude and lots of technical tricks too. His finals run consisted of a tailwhip, opposite tailwhip, backflip, downside whip, no foot can can and a lookback transfer on the quarterpipe to bank, making him the clear winner.

“This contest is a great opportunity, and I’m psyched I get a chance to go to the Finals and ride the Dew Tour course.” – Trey Herrera
