The 2010 Gatorade Free Flow Tour contest at Charm City was HOT! There was plenty of Gatorade consumed as competitors and fans braved the 100+ degree temperatures. The atmosphere in the skatepark was electric with kids ripping all day long.
The Junior Jammers started the day off with big-time performances. Christian Wood took the win with a big ollie to flat and a boardslide on the down bar. Nick Saffer and Nick Stutzer placed second and third, respectively.

It was quite an accomplishment in itself to make it to the finals as all 46 skaters were ripping in the open division. Brandon Strosser took fifth place and was ripping all day, but it looked like the heat got the best of him in the finals as he missed a few tricks that he had on lock all day. The park locals took the fourth through second spots with Tyler Thomas placing fourth, KDN Maxwell in third and Miles Willard taking second. Thomas had the crowd behind him with nollie double flips and a switch front boardslide. KDN was a beast all day with kickflip front boards and front noseblunts on lock. Miles skated nonstop all day, utilizing the entire course with 270 boardslides and big tre flips to flat.
Tyson Bowerbank made the long trip from Salt Lake City well worth it as he took first place. His finals heat was full of bangers including a smith grind kickflip out, a smith grind frontside flip out, a huge 360 off of the pyramid and a bigspin front board kickflip out! Tyson has lots of experience at the finals and will have the hometown crowd behind him so look out for him in SLC.
Charm City is always a great host to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, hopefully next year Mom Nature will bring some cool to Baltimore for the competitors.
“This contest was really good, the kids here rip. I have been to the finals the past three years and it is always a blast. It’s cool because a bunch of my friends from all over the country come to SLC for the weekend. Can’t wait!” – Tyson Bowerbank
