Following a strong ride at RedBud in which he posted 7-8 finishes in the 450 class, people started taking notice of privateer Cole Thompson. He backed that performance up with another top 10 overall result at Spring Creek, going 15-7. Not long after the race ended, he got a call from Star Valli Yamaha asking him to come onboard with their 250 team, starting with this weekend's race at Washougal. Since then, Cole's been out testing the new bike and preparing for the rest of the season.
