Recap

Mike Alessi takes the holeshot with Rattray, Tickle, Dungey, and Politelli in tow. The first corner claimed a few riders with Grant Izzi and many others going down. Izzi would not return to racing.

Dungey is all over the rear tire of Alessi at the halfway point of the moto. They pass each other back and forth a few times, but Dungey comes out ahead.

With five minutes plus two laps left in the moto, Dungey has a 5 second advantage over Alessi. Politelli pulls out with a mechanical after running fifth for a majority of the moto.

A few minutes later, Alessi has pulled the gap down to 2.5 seconds, but Ryan Dungey goes on to win the moto with a 9+ second advantage.
