Recap
The holeshot goes to Michael Byrne with Jake Weimer second and James Stewart in third. Stewart makes his way into the lead in a matter of corners, and they round the first lap with Stewart leading, Byrner second, and Weimer, Nicoletti, Tickle, Millsaps, Short, Alessi, Dungey, Grant and Smith making up the top ten.
Stewart goes down on lap two and has lots of trouble getting the bike back running. Byrne inheirts the lead, but Weimer steals it from him pretty quickly. A handful of corners later though, Weimer goes down hard, and Byrne is handed the lead back.
On lap three, Tickle gets by Phil Nicoletti for the second position. Dungey makes his way by Davi Millsaps for the third position three laps later.
A little before the halfway point, Mike Alessi pulls out of the moto, giving Dungey enough of a buffer to be able to take the championship.
With 10 minutes left in the moto, it’s still Byrne out front with a 8 second lead, but he's getting drawn in by Tickle, who is being pressured by Dungey. Byrne goes down real hard about four minutes later and is out of the moto. Tickle then assumes the lead.
With two laps to go, Dungey finally makes the pass on Tickle for the lead and takes the moto win by a mere second.

Zach Bell takes another holeshot. Behind him is Baggett second and Bogle third, with Roczen and Musquin following.
Roczen gets by Baggett after a small mistake on lap one. They round the first lap with Bell leading Roczen by a second. Then its Baggett, Bogle, Musquin, Wharton, J. Martin, Anderson, Peters and Stewart in the rest of the top ten.
Bell washes the front end and hands the lead over to Roczen. Both Bogle and Musquin have gotten by Baggett before the start of lap three, then Musquin makes a somewhat questionable off-the-track pass and gets by Bogle for second. Baggett makes his way around Bogle for the third position on lap four.
With 10 minutes to go, Roczen is still leading with Musquin second and Baggett third. Tomac has barely cracked the top ten, with Barcia still in 12th.
Ken Roczen takes the win and the first moto win of his career! He was followed by his Red Bull KTM teammate Marvin Musquin and Blake Baggett.
