Most people are familiar with Skate Park prodigy Ryan Sheckler, but theres a new kid on the block now. Last year, 13-year-old Chaz Ortiz was crowned the champion of Dew Tour's amateur competition series, the Free Flow Tour. He went on to compete in Orlando where he held his own up against the Tours best skaters. He finished sixth overall behind Sheckler and Lutzka.

For those who follow Vert Skateboarding it's common knowledge that most of the competitors are past their teen years. Last year a young teen by the name of Alex Perelson made his mark by killing it on the vert ramp, capping the 2007 season off in eighth spot in the running for the overall Skate Vert title. As a senior in high school, this San Diego rider keeps it real on the pro side of his life and sticks with a regular teen life the perfect combo.

The young guns in skating have proved to be worthy of the jaw drop reaction they get on Tour, but the talent doesnt stop there. BMX athletes have received their greatest innovation by athletes under the age of 23. With blond shaggy hair and pearly white smile, Dennis Enarson is the bright new teenage face of BMX. Enarson competes in both Park and Dirt on Dew Tour and is only going up from here.

Second on the BMX prodigy list is James Foster. Even though he's older than Chaz, Dennis, Alex and the various other younger competitors on Tour, he's still only 23! Riding bikes since he was ten-years-old, Foster found his talent, and didn't let it go to waste. Despite difficult times throughout the season in BMX Park last year, he proved himself to be someone to keep an eye on when he placed fifth in BMX Dirt overall.

Its a guarantee that every season from now on will bring more and more innovation to these sports and with that will come more and more up and comers hungry for a win. Keep all eyes on the younger riders this season; theyll be giving the seasoned veterans a run for their money.
