With a packed and raging Florida crowd pushing the energy level way past the boiling point, Baltimores Bucky Lasek proved himself yet again at the PlayStation® Pros Skate Vert Finals by winning it all for the second consecutive time this season. But he, as well as all of the other competitors, clearly had to fight to the bitter end if they planned to win. After all, this was the final stop of the 2006 Dew Tour season and there was absolutely no time for mistakes or hesitation.

Leading into Orlando, many wondered whether Lasek had the determination and bag of tricks to pull it off yet again. And with the likes of Australias Tas Pappas and Canadas Pierre-Luc Gagnon skating the best that they have all season, Lasek clearly had his work cut out for him yet again. But with two flawless runs that included stalefish FS gaytwists, BS lipslide reverts, FS rodeo 540s and lofty tuck-knee indys, all cleanly landed, Lasek determined his own destiny and wrote his own chapter for the 2006 Dew Tour skate history books.

Aside from winning Saturdays Finals, Laseks victory in Orlando also made his 2006 Dew Cup win official. Knowing that he took it all after Sandro Dias' bail during his second run, Lasek did his victory lap across the bottom of the vert ramp and immediately joined his family in the crowd to celebrate. With two Dew Cups now under his belt, the pressure is finally off for the vert legend and he can now rest easy for the remainder of the year.

Im stoked, this is the best, said Lasek following his runs. But if these guys didnt skate as great as they did, I wouldnt be pushing myself the whole time.
