The China Invitational is Alli's premiere international event, featuring skateboard Park and Vert and BMX Vert. The inaugural China Invitational event was held in 2008 at the Beijing Coliseum. For 2009, it will be moving to the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium, taking place May 8-10.
Athletes are invited to participate based on their 2008 Dew Tour season rankings. The 2009 competitor list is:
Skateboard Park
Greg Lutzka, Austen Seaholm, Rodolfo Ramos, Carlos De Andrade, Danilo Do Rosario, Fabrizio Santos, and Chris Mendes.
Skateboard Vert
Pierre Luc Gagnon, Andy Macdonald, Bob Burnquist, Adam Taylor, Sandro Dias, Buster Halterman, and Renton Millar.
BMX Vert
Jamie Bestwick, Chad Kagy, Simon Tabron, Steven McCann, Dennis McCoy, Jimmy Walker, and Zack Warden.

Number of Athletes:
Thirteen (13) skaters- seven (7) from Dew Tour Rankings, six (6) from Asian Qualifiers
Number of Runs:
Two (2) 60-second runs- 13 skaters / (1) 7-minute Jam - 6 skaters – utilizing the entire course
Scoring:
Run score: The high and low judges’ scores will be dropped and the remaining four will be averaged to give each run score to two decimal places. Top six (6) skaters will advance to the jam session.
Jam session score: skaters will be able to utilize the entire course, drop the high/low and average the four remaining scores.
Overall score: the best run score counts for 40% and the jam session score counts for 60% of overall score. The two scores will be weighted and averaged to give each skater’s overall score.
Skaters will be ranked 1-6 based on their overall score and 7-13 based on their best-run score.

Judging:
Each skater will be given two 60-second runs. After all thirteen skaters have completed one run, each will take a second run, keeping the same order, and will be ranked 1-13 based on their best run score. The top six skaters advance to the jam session. The top six skaters will then skate a 7-minute jam sessions utilizing the entire course. The best run score will account for 40% of the total score, the jam session score will account for 60% of the total score. The two scores will be weighted and averaged to give each skaters overall score. Skaters will be ranked 1-6 based on their overall score and 7-12 based on their best-run score.

Number of Runs:
Three (3) 45-second runs/ a skater’s run will end on his first fall
Scoring:
Best of three (3) runs – 100-point scale; drop high/low scores average remaining four scores to two decimal places

The seven skaters will complete three (3) 45-second runs. After all seven skaters have completed one run; each will take a second run, keeping the same order, and will be ranked 1-7 based on their best run score. After all seven skaters have completed their third and final run, keeping the same order; they will be ranked 1-7 on their best run score.

Two (2) 45-second runs
Scoring:
Best of two (2) runs. The judges scores are totaled and averaged to two decimal places

Judging:
The seven riders will complete two (2) 45-second runs. After all seven riders have completed one run; each will take a second run, keeping the same order, and will be ranked 1-7 based on their best run score.
