Snowboarders Chazz Roberts and Jessika Jenson Top The Competition at Jackson Hole

A severe weather warning was in effect at Jackson Hole over the weekend, as the home of unrivaled terrain had a foot of snow every night. Still, competitors came out to throw down on the slopestyle course, with a pair of 2010 finalists, Chazz Roberts and Jessika Jenson, winning their respective comps and earning trips back to February's finals.

The guys sacrificed pow laps to get techy in the park. Chazz Roberts stomped his run to claim first place, a trip to Utah and an ice chest full of Gatorade. His run was a super smooth switch 540, huge cab 720, a perfect boardslide on the trap to a switch-270-on, 270-off the downbar. The victory puts Chazz in the finals for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Corey Steinke’s underflip, cab 5 with a full double nose that bent his board, half cab nosepress on the trap to 270 out, to frontside 180 50/50 on the downbar got him 2nd place.

Taking home 3rd place and the final spot on the podium was Brad Tiefenthaler, who landed a switch backside rodeo, backside 540 melon, switch nosepress on the trap to 270 out, to 270 backside lipslide on the downbar.

In the women’s division, the envelope was pushed for sure. Jessika Jenson got the crowd stoked with a huge backside 360, frontside 180, switch frontside boardslide on the trap to frontside lipslide on the downbar to claim 1st place.

Sage Kotsenburg's little sister Kirra made her presence known in the contest, throwing duo backside 360’s, a boardslide on the trap, and a 50/50 on the downbar. Kirra finished as the runner-up, but will have another chance to crack into finals at the Brighton slopestyle contest coming up. Grace Mayernik rounded out the podium in 3rd.
